Biography
A crisp October day in 1903 New York welcomed Violet De Biccari into the world, and barely a dozen years later the cameras were already turning for her. At twelve she confronted the horror of Frankenstein’s first screen incarnation in Life Without Soul (1915), followed by the desert intrigue of Under Two Flags (1916) and the rag-to-riches sparkle of The Princess of Patches (1917). Three films, three moods, one bright-eyed actress who stepped into the silent spotlight and left her footprints before the age of fourteen.
