Biography
A Christmas-season baby, Violet Schram arrived in San Antonio on 1 December 1898 and stepped straight into the footlights of a new century. Between 1917 and 1926 she dodged assassins in Perils of the Secret Service, traded gossip in The Hollywood Reporter, and tucked a violin under her chin for Toby's Bow, leaving three crisp silhouettes on the silent-screen horizon. Off-camera she took Edgar Lyons as her leading man, and the final curtain fell in Los Angeles on 20 March 1987.
