Biography
Vladimir Kvanin stepped before the camera in the twilight of Russian silent film, leaving a trail of sharply etched characters: he is the austere Karenin in the 1914 adaptation of Anna Karenina, the iron-willed courier of Michel Strogoff (1926), and the boisterous innkeeper at the heart of The Busy Inn (1916).
