Biography
San Francisco greeted Walter Armin on 2 June 1878, and by 1914 he was already haunting the silent screen as the brooding star of Lena Rivers. Two decades later he slipped into the urban glare of Big Town (1932), then traded skyscrapers for Parisian intrigue in The Affairs of Pierre (1937). Manhattan, where he took his final bow, claimed him on 19 April 1959.
