Biography
Walter Kendig stepped in front of the camera just as the silent era was finding its voice. Between 1914 and 1915 he slipped into three one-reel stories—first chasing a delinquent tenant in Collecting the Rent, then fanning prairie flames in Wildfire, and finally engineering romance in How Ida Got a Husband. The curtain fell early: on 13 October 1915 the 29-year-old actor drew his last breath in Yonkers, New York, leaving only those flickering frames to speak for him.
