Biography
Nashville greeted William L. Granberry on 19 July 1889, and by 1915 he had stepped before the cameras to embody Sam Davis, the Tennessee hero, in the silent film that would carry his name across marquees. Twenty-three years later, on 22 May 1932, the Rocky Mountains closed the curtain on his story in Denver, Colorado.
