Biography
A January chill greeted William Marion on the 12th of 1878 in California; by the time the same month returned in 1957, he had taken his final bow in Los Angeles. Between those two winter days, he slipped into flickering silvers: he chased curses through *The Hope Diamond Mystery* (1921), packed a lifetime into *One Hour* (1917), and bargained with fate in *The Devil to Pay* (1920).
