Biography
William McNulty stepped in front of the camera just as Hollywood was learning to talk—though he never needed words to leave a mark. In 1915 alone, he haunted two silent reels: first as the ominous presence in The Unwelcome Wife, then as the figure framed by The Sign of the Broken Shackles. Three years later, he traded domestic menace for global stakes, surfacing in The World for Sale (1918) while the planet was still reeling from real-world treaties and trenches.
