Biography
Birmingham birthed William Pike on 30 July 1889, and from those smoky streets he marched onto the flickering silent screen, lending his face to Salvation Nell in 1915, tangling with Houdini’s traps in The Master Mystery three years later, and cracking The Carter Case in 1919. The curtain fell for good on 1 April 1959, when the actor took his final bow in New York City.
