Biography
Birmingham delivered William Sheer to the world on 20 August 1889, and by 1915 he had stepped in front of the camera for Raoul Walsh’s gritty landmark *The Regeneration*. Two quick leaps later, he surfaced in *The Birth of a Man* (1916) and sealed his silent-era résumé with the courtroom whodunit *The Sealed Envelope* (1919). Off-screen, he claimed Delilah Leitzell as his wife before the final curtain fell on 10 July 1933 in New York City.
