Biography
Boston welcomed William Stowell on 13 March 1885, and by 1917 he was burning up the silent screen—charging through Fighting Mad, igniting Fires of Rebellion, and reimagining A Doll’s House. Barely two years later, while filming in Africa, the 34-year-old’s story ended in Elizabethville, Belgian Congo, on 24 November 1919.
