Biography
Bennet Musson entered the world in 1866 on the banks of the Mississippi at Cairo, Illinois, and spent the next eight decades turning ink into livelihood. Between editorial deadlines he spun stories that reached the screen: audiences of 1914 met his roguish gambler in *Forgiven; or, the Jack of Diamonds*, while 1918 delivered a double bill—*Marriage* and *The Uphill Path*—both etched from his pen. He closed his final chapter on 17 February 1946 in Amityville, Long Island, leaving behind a trail of words flickering through silent-film light.
