Biography
Channing Pollock first drew breath on 4 March 1880 in Washington, D.C. and spent the next six-and-a-half decades turning sentences into a career. His pen powered the intrigue of Midnight Intruder (1938), the Broadway-to-screen glamour of Funny Girl (1968), and the shadowy suspense of The Locked Door (1929). Away from the keyboard he shared life—and credit lines—with wife Anna Marble. The final curtain fell on 17 August 1946 in Shoreham, New York, but the stories he spun still keep the lights on.
