Biography
March 3, 1894, New York City heralded the arrival of Charles J. Wilson, a storyteller who would soon trade Broadway’s glow for flickering silent screens. By 1914 he was already shaping cinema’s early grammar, guiding *Jess of the Mountain Country* from script to scenic peaks. Three years later he tightened moral threads with *The Greater Law*, and in 1919 he conjured spectral romance in *The Ghost Girl*. When the projectors dimmed for good, Wilson settled on the opposite coast, breathing his last in Los Angeles on January 22, 1974.
