Charles Selby first stepped before the camera in 1913, slipping through gas-lit alleys in London by Night and returning that same year to the screen in an early filming of The Marble Heart. Two years later he revived the role for a 1915 retelling of The Marble Heart, sealing his brief but unmistakable footprint in silent-era cinema.
