Biography
Silent-era storyteller Claude Askew first stepped before the camera in 1915, scripting the passions that burn through The Folly of Desire. A year later he tightened the screws on Edwardian nerves with The Pleydell Mystery, and in 1920 he closed the decade’s whispering curtain with the courtroom drama Testimony.
