Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, where he was born on March 23, 1866, Edward A. Paulton eventually found his calling as a creative force in the burgeoning world of cinema. A versatile writer, he was the architectural mind behind the stories of the 1915 silent film Niobe and the 1923 production Her Temporary Husband, later contributing to the mid-thirties comedy Get Off My Foot (1935). His personal life was equally connected to the arts through his marriage to actress Jessie Storey. Paulton’s long journey from the United Kingdom to the heart of the American film industry concluded in Hollywood, California, where he passed away on March 20, 1939.
