A versatile writer, he was the architectural mind behind the stories of the 1915 silent film Niobe and the 1923 production Her Temporary Husband, later contributing to the mid-thirties comedy Get Off My Foot (1935). His personal life was equally connected to the arts through his marriage to actress Jessie Storey.
