Biography
Brussels, 28 January 1877: the day Francis de Croisset first opened his eyes—and soon after began turning the world into stories. His pen would travel from the boulevard theatres of Paris to Hollywood backlots, gifting the screen A Woman’s Face (1941), lending cunning charm to Arsène Lupin (1932), and letting the flower-girl of Ciboulette (1933) sing. Offstage, he shared his life with Marie-Thérèse de Chevigné. On 8 November 1937, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, the final curtain fell, but the words he set loose are still in motion.
