Biography
Fred E. Wright spent the mid-1910s behind the camera, coaxing silent stories into life on the nickelodeon screen. In 1916 he shaped two brisk one-reelers—*The Breaker* and the romantic adventure *The Prince of Graustark*—and followed them a year later with the marital comedy *The Trufflers*. Off-set, his leading lady was Nell Craig, the actress who became his wife. Wright’s final fade-out came on 5 August 1936 in Los Angeles, California.
