Biography
Harry R. Durant came into the world in 1871, carrying a fountain pen instead of a silver spoon. Over the next eight-and-a-half decades he spun stories that reached the screen in the form of A Man and His Mate (1915), The Venus Model (1918) and The Heart Raider (1923). When the final reel of his own life ran out on 22 April 1957, the curtain fell on him in Guilford, Connecticut.
