Biography
Henry Edwards drew his first breath on 18 September 1882 amid the salt-stung promenades of Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. Before the cameras he became both chameleon and captain, guiding performances in A Welsh Singer (1915), slipping into Scrooge’s skin two decades later (1935), and steering the whimsical odyssey of The Amazing Quest of Mr. Ernest Bliss (1920). Off-screen he shared his life—and the spotlight—with actress Chrissie White. His final curtain fell on 2 November 1952 in the quiet Surrey village of Chobham.
