Biography
Born in London on 5 October 1882, Herbert Blaché crossed the Atlantic to become a silent-era force, guiding the camera through the shadows of The Song of the Wage Slave (1915), the intrigue of A Prisoner in the Harem (1913), and the high-stakes twists of The Million Dollar Robbery (1914). Off-screen, his life intertwined with trailblazer Alice Guy as husband and collaborator. His final fade-out came 23 October 1953 in Santa Monica, California.
