Biography

Born in the small town of Gervais, Oregon, on November 2, 1876, Jules Eckert Goodman emerged as a compelling literary talent of the early twentieth century. He earned acclaim for his narrative contributions to the silver screen, most notably for the 1932 production 'The Man Who Played God,' as well as earlier works such as 'The Silent Voice' (1915) and 'The Trap' (1919). Throughout his career, he was accompanied by his wife, Mai Pfouts (1880–1959). After a long life dedicated to his craft, Goodman passed away in Peekskill, New York, on July 10, 1962.
