Biography
Julian La Mothe first drew breath on 6 October 1893 amid the brass-band pulse of New Orleans, Louisiana. A storyteller who also stepped before the camera, he spun silents that flicker in cinema memory: the 1915 rescue fantasy Saved from the Harem, the jazz-age morality tale The White Sin (1924), and the brooding domestic drama The Winding Stair (1925). His final curtain fell in Los Angeles on 20 September 1972.
