Biography

Born beneath Kentucky skies on 7 October 1877, Lillian Nicholson Shearon first tasted the footlights as an actress before swapping curtain-calls for crisp manuscript pages. She inked Civil-War drama into silent life with *Sam Davis, the Hero of Tennessee* (1915) and then tightened heartstrings two years later through *A Mute Appeal* (1917). Off-screen she shared her name—and likely more than a few story ideas—with husband W.B. Shearon. Her final exit came quietly in Nashville, Tennessee, on 27 February 1961, closing a life lived between spotlight glow and writers’ lamplight.
