Biography
Louis Levy entered the world on 9 October 1875 in Copenhagen, and spent the next six-and-a-half decades turning silence into story. His pen gave life to the 1918 Arctic tale *Das Eskimobaby*, re-imagined Kafka’s *Nach dem Gesetz* for the screen in 1919, and choreographed dialogue for the waltzing romance of *Waltz Time* in 1933. When the final curtain fell on 9 March 1940, he had returned to Charlottenlund, the Danish coast still echoing the words he left behind.
