Biography
May 1871: Rockport, Indiana welcomed Mark Swan into the world. Forty-three years later, the world welcomed his stories—first through the serial mischief of The Adventures of Andy Clark (1914), then across the swampy heat of A Romance of the Everglades that same year, and finally into the flapper-era finance comedy Her Own Money (1922). The reels stopped turning in 1942, but the plots he spun keep flickering on screens today.
