Biography
Glasgow greeted Murray Carson with a wet March wind on the 17th of 1865, and from that Scottish soot and clamor he shaped stories that carried him far beyond the Clyde. By 1915 his pen had conjured Rosemary, a film that let audiences breathe the perfume of his imagination. Off the page he shared his life with Mary E. S. Donald, the woman who stood beside the ink-stained desk. Canterbury’s soft Kentish light closed his final chapter on 19 April 1917, but the reel of Rosemary still spins, keeping Carson’s heartbeat flickering on the screen.
