Biography
Pennsylvania delivered Richard V. Spencer to the world on 3 March 1885, and by 1915 he was already carving silent stories into celluloid—first guiding The Artist’s Model, then steering The Pathway from the Past, both released that whirlwind year. Two years later he unveiled The Hidden Spring, sealing his brief but distinct footprint in early Hollywood. Nearly four decades after his last credit, the California sun set on his life in Los Angeles, 22 July 1954.
