Biography
Before the Revolution swallowed the old capital, Vsevolod Krestovskiy had already fixed its shadows on celluloid: the soot-black alleys of 1915’s *Peterburgskiye trushchobi* still smolder with his images. Nearly eight decades later, the city whispered its secrets again through the post-Soviet flicker of *Peterburgskie tayny* (1994), proving that even under new flags, Krestovskiy’s lens keeps breathing.
