Biography
Philadelphia greeted Wadsworth Camp on 18 October 1879, and from that first breath he began collecting the kinds of shadows and whispers that would later slide onto the page. By the late 1920s those pages were crackling across silver screens: 1928 audiences jumped at *The Last Warning*, eleven years later they tightened their coats against *The House of Fear*, and back in 1920 they had already surrendered to *Love Without Question*. Off-set, he shared his life—and its plot twists—with Madeleine Barnett. The final curtain fell on 30 October 1936 in Jacksonville, Florida, but the stories he set loose still prowl the dark.
