Biography
Macon, Georgia, 1867: William Jossey enters the world in the same red-clay town that will one day close his story. Between those bookend years he steps behind and in front of the camera, steering two of early cinema’s mile-markers—St. Elmo in 1914 and The Cowpuncher the following year—before quietly returning home. On 25 June 1937 the circle completes; Macon claims him again.
