Ninth of November, 1905 in St Petersburg, Russia, when unarmed demonstrators led by Father Georgy Gapon were fired upon by soldiers of the Imperial Guard as they marched towards the Winter Palace to present a petition to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia.
Zhenshchina, kotoraya izobrela lyubov Synopsis
The pawnbroker's daughter Antonella loves the handsome Lieutenant Gilly and is getting married. In the future, Antonella lies to her husband and begins to seduce the elderly duke. At the end of the film there is a payoff with life.
"Devyatoe yanvarya" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Zhenshchina, kotoraya izobrela lyubov" offers its own unique cult appeal.
