The Rathskeller and the Rose Synopsis
A country girl runs away to town, and achieves success as an actress. A struggling actor desiring a part in her company visits her home town, absorbs local color, and on his return brings a faded rose from the girl's mother, and poses as one of her country neighbors with such success that the girl cancels all engagements and returns home. Then the actor decides to follow her.
His Pal's Gal Synopsis
Tex, after warning his pal to keep away from the gang at the saloon, finds him dead by the roadside. His pal's girl arriving at the cabin, from the East, finds favor with Tex; and when she is about to return home they both discover that they do not want to part, and together they seek a clergyman.
"The Rathskeller and the Rose" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "His Pal's Gal" offers its own unique cult appeal.
