Biography
A foundational architect of early American cinema, Theodore Marston began his life in Minnesota on August 10, 1868. He wielded his talents as both a writer and director, translating literary classics and grand adventures to the silver screen. His vision brought to life the 1910 production of Jane Eyre, the legendary 1913 Robin Hood, and the 1917 feature The Secret Kingdom. Though his career was centered in the burgeoning film capital, his life came to a close in Los Angeles on October 2, 1920.
