Biography
A Columbia, South Carolina, Thanksgiving baby of 1889, Wray Bartlett Physioc grew up to trade Southern quiet for the flicker of silent-era screens. In one whirlwind year—1922—he marshaled shadows, iris shots, and title-card poetry into three quick-fire releases: the blood-craving *The Blonde Vampire*, the ship-bound intrigue *The Love Nest*, and the obsession-laced *The Madness of Love*. A decade later, the reels stopped turning; Physioc’s own final scene played out in Manhattan on 8 May 1933.
