Burya

Burya, an older film from a time when cinema was still finding its true voice, seems to wrestle with big, turbulent forces. It feels less like a modern story with a neat plot and more like a raw, almost primal clash of human will against overwhelming circumstances, much like a storm itself. You really get a sense of people trying to navigate a world that feels both grand and, well, just too much.
