Summary
In this riotous silent-era confection, the perpetually inebriated Phil embarks on a convoluted odyssey to visit a compatriot nestled in a suburban bungalow. His journey, fueled by an excess of spirits, devolves into a hilariously futile struggle against the very architecture of his destination. Unable to breach the conventional entry points, Phil's increasingly desperate efforts culminate in an absurd ascension via a public conveyance, which he cunningly, if illogically, repurposes as an impromptu aerial ladder to access the dwelling's upper story. Once precariously ensconced within, the misadventures escalate; he navigates a treacherous landscape of taxidermied beasts, each leering visage a fresh source of startled panic, before executing an involuntary, gravity-defying ballet across a treacherously polished floor. His presence, a whirlwind of disarray, systematically upends the domestic order, culminating in a final, frantic escape aboard a runaway bus, a fittingly chaotic denouement to his boozy escapade.
Synopsis
Phil, as a chap who has imbibed too freely and starts out to visit a friend in a bungalow, supplies all of the comedy. He has all sorts of trouble getting into the house, finally mounting a bus and entering the second story. He is scared by animal skins, skids on the slippery floor and mixes things up generally, in the end he gets on a bus that runs away.
