Biography
August 2, 1877, Stockholm greeted a restless storyteller: Albert Ståhl. The silver screen soon claimed him, letting his presence ripple through Therese (1916), ignite the whodunit Vem sköt? (1917), and lend aching glances to Kärlekens ögon (1922). Seventy-eight years and a few months later, on December 18, 1955, the city that first heard his cries ushered him into silence, again within its borders.
