Biography
San Antonio, 9 March 1887: Allan Sears enters the world with the Texas sun already warming his cradle. By 1915 he’s swashbuckling through Martyrs of the Alamo, sword in hand, sweat on the brow. Four years later he trades muskets for moonshine in Heart o’ the Hills, chasing Mary Pickford through Appalachian haze. Talkies arrive, and in 1933 he locks skeletons in the closet for Secrets, whispering melodrama into the microphone. The cameras finally dim; on 18 August 1942 Los Angeles claims him, leaving the reels to spin his echo.
