Biography
In 1913, while audiences were still marveling at flickering images, Arturo Garzes slipped into the armor of Joan of Arc, then rose from the battlefield to play a walking cadaver in The Living Corpse—all before the year was out. The very next year he crossed borders and epochs, ditching medieval France for a turn-of-the-century Germania, proving that a single season could hold centuries.
