Biography
Born in the river town of Guysville, Ohio, 1879, Austin Webb swapped small-state quiet for the flicker of early celluloid. Within four frantic years he stalked across the screen as the relentless agent in *Wolves of Kultur* (1918), unsettled domestic order in *The Master of the House* (1915), and turned on roguish charm for *Coax Me* (1919). The cameras stopped rolling long before a December day in 1937 when he drew his last breath in Los Angeles, leaving only those silver shadows to speak for him.
