Biography
A Kentucky summer, 5 August 1891, delivered Billie West to the world. By 1915 she was already flickering across nickelodeon screens, breathing life into The Wolf Man and A Man’s Prerogative in the same whirlwind year. Two seasons later she returned in Should She Obey?, sealing her place in the silent era’s frantic reel of memory. Off-screen she claimed Frank Bennett as her husband. On 7 June 1967 the lights finally dimmed, this time in Plainfield, New Jersey, where the projectors of her life stopped turning for good.
