Biography
A capital-city kid born November 10, 1886, Carl Harbaugh swapped Washington’s marble corridors for flickering back-lots, carving a niche as both scribe and scene-stealer. Between 1921 frames he co-wrote and front-lined The Tomboy, then re-teamed with the same release year for Little Miss Hawkshaw, polishing the stories while still stepping into the spotlight. Six years later he tossed a cap in the air alongside Buster Keaton for College, sealing a silent-era legacy. Off-screen he claimed Frances Lawson Bouis as his leading lady until the final reel faded. The curtain rang down February 26, 1960, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, but the celluloid keeps spinning.
