Biography
Silent-era cameras first blinked open their lenses at Conchita Ledesma in 1914, the year two continents captured her: in Italy she became the principessa of Florania, while in the United States she performed The Last Dance. Before the reel finished turning, she slipped across the Atlantic again and re-danced that same drama for Spanish-speaking audiences, releasing La última danza in 1915.
