Biography
A Glasgow winter welcomed David Powell on 17 December 1883, and from that Scottish chill he carried a spark that lit up early silent cinema. Audiences first noticed him in 1915’s The Dawn of a Tomorrow, the same year he returned to the screen in Fine Feathers; seven years later he frontlined Missing Millions, sealing his reputation as a dependable leading man of the flicker era. The final curtain fell on 16 April 1925, far from his homeland, upon a New York City stage.
