Biography
Before the talkies roared in, D.J. Flanagan had already slipped three distinct silhouettes onto the silent screen: he haunted the Latin Quarter cafés in 1916’s La vie de Bohème, raced the clock through 1917’s thriller One Hour, and tipped his hat as the well-mannered rogue in 1921’s Chivalrous Charley.
