Biography
On 27 March 1892, Berlin welcomed Dorrit Weixler into the world; barely twenty-one years later, the same city watched her light go out on 30 November 1916. Between these two dates she sprinted across the early cinema screen, bewitching audiences in 1913 with *Das rosa Pantöffelchen* and *Die das Glück narrt*, then tightening the suspense a year later in *Todesrauschen*.
