Biography
Between 1914 and 1917, Edit Lakos stepped before the camera three times and left a permanent thumbprint on early Hungarian cinema. First came “The Gold Digger,” a 1914 tale that let her test the fledgling medium; next, “Loved by Two,” released in 1915, widened her circle of admirers; finally, “The Frivolous Woman” in 1917 sealed her short but indelible silent-era legacy.
