Biography
Before celluloid had fully found its voice, Edwin Clarke stepped into the gas-lit world of silent cinema, slipping first into the shoes of Eugene Wrayburn for the 1911 adaptation of *Our Mutual Friend*. Three years later he resurfaced across the Atlantic, drifting through the dreamlike corridors of *Fantasma*, and closed out his brief arc in 1915 by confronting the crimson guilt of *The Scarlet Sin*.
